Boot window leaking in rain
#2
I don't think it is your window seal rubber gasket. Rather, it looks to me that water is getting from the top of the roof thru the hatch's weatherstripping. It could be a problem with the actual hatchback rubber gasket or a door adjustment issue.
Either way, take it back to the dealer, that's what the warranty is for.
Your problem seems extremely rare too.

ORVILLE, my mini was just a pup ,a few weeks old
when I found a small pond in my boot. Naturally, I'm
checking the weatherstripping etc. Turned out to be
THE GASKET BEHIND THE 3RD BRAKELIGHT ON TOP OF
THE HATCH. I posted extensivly on that subject before.
Go to your dealer. Have them replace it for free.
If they give you any $heit ,you tell them to see me

seeking info reg:water in back cargo area, after rains. visual appears that both L/R side rear plastic gutters are "sprung" out of postion, and will not stay. This is an '02 standard. Any ideas, Does not appear to be 3rd brake light. Test with hose shows no visible path in interior. What is the daraining method at the rear? Is there a tube or path the ron-off follows?
Thanks, MikeP
