F5 fuse under hood goes to what?
Somebody told me the F5 5 amp fuse was for the radiator fan, and the power steering fan. I replaced the power steering fan, and it got no power so I rewired the fan running a ground wire to the ground on the battery, and running a power wire to F5 5 amp fuse, but whenever I do that my transmission acts up. Just wondering if the F5 goes to something else?
I just realized this today after replacing both computers on the car while that wire was disconnected, then reconnecting it after driving around. Then I go to leave later, and transmission is acting up again. Screen says park, and bucks when I switch gears, tops out at 10mph.
Without the transmission computer I can do 30mph, didn't attempt to go faster then that, and rpm's where kind of all over.
I'd really like to figure this issue out, and get my Mini back on the road, but looking at other cars right now. Sucks cause I just repainted some of the interior really nice, and wasted about $5,000 in new parts over the 2 years I owned the car. Not going to a dealership to spend thousands on labor.

The power steering fan according to the Bentley manual is triggered by the high speed fan. I also just replaced my PS fan as the 5 amp kept blowing when the a/c, radiator fan and PS fan were all running. I would not advise making any changes to the wiring unless you have an unused accessory power circuit. Tapping into anything else could upset other sensors that are reading voltage.
Regarding your auto trans, I would get a scan tool with advanced diagnostic capability to read any codes.
