Hey guys, and gals. Just got my 07 MCS 2 months ago and this week I started noticing a strange thumping I can hear and feel in the floor boards. I only notice it when the car is at idle for a few minutes. It varies in timing and its usually 3-5 small thumps that last for about 3 seconds or so. I read about the gas tank venting, but the noise isn't coming from the back. And I also read about people thinking its everything cooling down after a drive, but this only happens while the engine is on. Trust me I know what a car sounds like when it's ticking itself cool after a fun drive.
I didn't know if anyone knew the cause. It doesn't seem to be affecting anything and the only thing on is the engine itself. No A/C or heater. The idle doesn't jump or dip, it just feels like someone's looking for something under my car and they bump the floor boards in the process haha.
Thanks for your input, this is my first post. I hope someone knows what's going on. The curiosity, of what it is, is bugging the hell out of me.
