Its a pretty common leak. Easy fix if its on a lift.

Yep, happened to me. See this thread. Mine is the last post. IMO no need for a lift, but having it on ramps gave a nice bit of room underneath. Cheap and relatively easy.

I was under there about 3 weeks ago for an oil leak. It was the seal on the oil filter tho.. broke free about 4500 miles after previous oil change. Must have hit a real good bump?! No oil leaks anywhere else, its real clean down there. Swapped my SC at 92k miles and that's when I cleaned all previous gunk left unattended by PO. Nothing was new and it wasn't even that bad. I do not lose oil between changes and its always very clean when I changed it. I'm very thankful for this !!!

I agree that it probably is everyone has or has had that leak. And it is easy to fix.

BUT you should consider an upgrade to the balancer while you are there. Those all eventually go too and the ATI Balancer is much better than OEM. Occasionally ATI sells some blemished units as a significant discount. Just cosmetic problems and when I got mine, I couldn’t even find it as it looked perfect to me.

I went to Pelican Parts website trying to find the CPS o-ring with no luck. Found only complete sensor w/o-ring. What's the part number? Is that dealer item only?

should be 12147514983 Look it up on realoem, then plug the part number into the pelicanparts search box.

Unless you are ordering extra stuff from a vendor, that's probably something to get from your local dealer so you don't pay shipping. $4.
