Plastic cage inside oil filter housing, Urgent, help needed

Plastic cage inside oil filter housing, Urgent, help needed

If I lost the plastic cage and the spring inside the oil filter housing, is it still gonna be okay if I use the Mann filter that has the internal support tube already... Mine is a 2003 mini cooper non-S model

Yes. You’ll have no issues. Artoo’s cage and spring were taken out 10 years ago.
