R56 new problems after thermostat housing change
Hi all, I just switched out my thermostat housing on my 2007 r56 non-s cooper with 87k miles.
Previously I was getting a OBD code of p0128 (coolest temperature below thermostat regulating temperature) and I had a small leak too. I just finished swapping out the housing, I labeled all the sensors and hoses making sure everything is connected back to where it belongs.
Good news is I no longer have a leak and no longer throwing the p0128 code.
Bad news is I am now throwing three new codes, and the engine will go into limp mode if I accelerate the car hard.
P1637: Throttle Valve Position Control, Control Deviation
P0120: Throttle Position Sensor/Switch (TPS) A Circuit Malfunction
P2103: Throttle Control Motor Relay Circuit Short
As you can see they are all related to the throttle, I am pretty sure I caused it during the thermostat housing replacement.
I am hoping somebody can point me in the right direction on where to look to solve this issue.
I followed the directions on this post: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...hermostat.html
Was one of the sensors I removed during the procedure the TPS?

Bringing up an old thread. No one replied but I was hoping someone may now have some incite. I know I didn't disconnect anything to do with the throttle body. The issues is not a consistent thing. I can clear the codes and they stay cleared for a while and they didn't show up until a couple of days later. I'm going to do a visual inspection, clean the connectors and run the test on the pedal that is in the Bentley manual.

I have seen P1637 P2103 with recommendations for cleaning up carbon build up, which should be done on these vehicles every 50k miles. Thread here for reference. Otherwise for P0120, throttle housing assemblies here if needed.

I've replaced multiple throttle bodies due to oil ingress, on one of them I actually found corrosion due to condensation ingress.
If you've determined that your TPS codes aren't for the pedal then you'll probably need a throttle body.
