MFSW Cable Problem

Hello all,

I purchased this steering wheel from Germany. When I installed it on the car the MFSW buttons didn't light up and the cruise control error light showed up. After that I installed my older steering wheel's buttons and wiring on the new steering wheel and installed it on the car. Again same error. I check the buttons with a different cable from another car, without putting it on the steering wheel, and they light up and work.

I checked the cable with a voltmeter, everything works.

But the problem is clearly the cable that connects the buttons to the system. I eliminated everything else, by testing each option.

My question is what can be the problem here?

I attached a picture of the cable that causes me problems.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Kaan

The parts may need to be coded, ie electronically matched up to the car.

I don't think that this is a coding issue, because when I try it with a different MFSW, it works without any issues. The cable is faulty for sure. But how is that faulty?

The problem has been solved.

Apparently, the firm which sold me the SW, has misplaced the Shifter paddles' cables. I switched them from left to right and the problem is gone, everything works like it should.

Thanks all.
