Hand brake/E-brake light lits up after driving

Hey all,

yet another quick question!

- Start the car = No light yet
- Driving for a little bit = Hand brake/e-brake light lits up

So before I began working on the car for front end refresh, this never happened.. and I am a bit lost..

I've dealt with it previously (many years back) and it was usually solved by topping off brake fluid. This time, I've done it and it is still acting up. I've checked the lines for any possible leak (including slave cyclinder) and all looks to be in fine shape.

What other things could trip the light?

The sensor that attaches to the e-brake unit has been unplugged for years and the car was okay with it

Also, somehow, cruise control won't work either - Not sure if its related to the issue??

Any tips / suggestions are welcomed!

Try testing the brake fluid level sensor. Remove the cap and unplug the sensor. Probe the connectors with an ohm meter while you move the float up and down.
