cant get crank pulley off..
Im feeling kind of stupid, I dont think anyone else has reported having trouble getting the pulley off. I've got the belt off and the generic 3-bolt puller attached to the pulley. The center bolt is off and I've got 3 M6x75mm bolts with thick washers on the pulley/puller.
When I start cranking down on the puller with my socket it bends the washers right through the puller. I've gone through several washers and they've all busted. What gives??

hate to say it, but i had a nightmare of a time doing mine.
puller bolts broke off inside the pulley. had to drill and tap larger holes to fit a stronger m8.
had to torch the pulley and use a prybar from behind, along with the puller and it was a miracle that it came off. it took almost 3 days to do between trips to the hardware store, work, sleeping, and shouting profanities in the cold dead garage.

Well, I hate to say it, but I was being extremely stupid. I read through numerous "how to's" and no one actually mentioned that you have to insert a bolt into the center of the pulley to push off of. I know in hindsight it seems obvious, but Im just a guy who follows directions. I thought I was pushing off something besides the pulley.
Yeah, talk about a face-palm when I figured it out.
