AC/ FAN 1st stage not working
Hi,
I'm usually a DIY but my impatience has taken over with now 3 years without AC.
I have a reman compressor (I changed it my self 2 years ago) then I recharged the system myself which worked for a little while then I had a alternator issue ( I think it might have been a ground wire from the head unit touching the car ) whic makes me think it could all be electrical.
After I replaced the alternator the AC never worked again even tough I replaced the compressor clutch. My 1st stage fan stopped working as well but 2nd stage works fine when it reaches 112 degrees. The fan is new tough.
All fuse looks fine.
I'm well educated on the whole AC thing so I want to fix it myself but might give in to bring it to the garage in a few weeks.
Could it be an electrical problem? Could I have a open circuit and where? Or is it just a case of emptying and recharging the system?
cliff note:
-changed the compressor (reman)
-recharge with store bought freon system
-worked althought less cold then normal
-alternator died (might be a ground wire touching the car)
-then compressor stopped kicking in
-so I change the clutch
-still doesnt work
-1st stage fan doesnt work even if its new
-psp fan removed
help me guys!!!

Inside the cabin where the evaporator, behind the glove compartment there is a resistor(forget the name pls. correct me if im wrong) probably shorted out, need to replace for the blower to works on low blower speed. (Not experience in AC but i do all works for my MINI)

"My 1st stage fan stopped working as well but 2nd stage works fine when it reaches 112 degrees".
You are refering to the radiator fan which has low speed and high speed!! You need to either repair the low speed fan resistor or replace the whole radiator fan as a unit.
Blower and Fan are same meaning, compressor either engage or disengage... Be more specific!!
