p0977 shift solenoid B Control circuit high
Service engine light came on for my 07 mini. I did a scan and got code p0977. Since I have never worked on a mini before I called a dealer and spoke with the service manager. He told me to swap two solenoid and then run the car for a few minutes. It should throw a different code telling me which solenoid needs to be replaced. I did this but the code hasnt changed. Car doesnt run differently and shifts just fine. Has anyone else run into this problem and how do I resolve it?

Thanks for the article. I washed and detailed my car today and I went to drive back to base and check engine light is now out. It's been on for almost a few weeks and I had the P0977 code I mentioned along with a P173B that showed up after I changed out the thermostat. The wiring harness clip that attaches to the thermostat sensor cracked. It seems really weird to me that both of those codes just went away and the engine light went out.
