Funky electrical problems?
I have a 2006 MCS Automatic USA 91k mileage for 3.5 years originally bought at 45k mileage.
Ive had some funky electrical problems since I have bought the car. It started out with the stereo unit randomly restarting after beeping a couple times. Sometimes I start the car and the windows won't work (eventually turn on after a few minutes). Sometimes its the steering wheel radio control buttons work, but not properly. Sometimes I start the car and the tach, battery gauge, psi gauge don't work (eventually turn on after a few minutes). Sometimes When I turn off the car the PS fan stays on or even a random light. Sometimes the blinkers don't turn off after I've turned (only for a few moments then goes back to normal).
My battery is about a year old. It did just die a month ago from something being left on (not my fault). Maybe I need to replace it? I do have a MINI iPod adapter and has never worked properly. I tried to disconnect most of the adapter but left some wires in. When I first purchased the car I was upsold on an AMP. Little did I know it had the HK system in it. It took them 3 solid days to install just the AMP and it was a poor job and done incorrectly. The next day I got it all uninstalled back to stock HK. Perhaps this is a trickle down of electrical problems from the poor install?
In the past 300 miles the first video has happened to me 4 times. Now its getting worse. The 2nd video is just moments after the 1st video. Im just cruising at 70 mph on the freeway.
If you notice in the first video the tacho is bouncing from 2800-2600 rpm. I was in a smooth drive.
Today was the first time I lost acceleration speed from a dead stop to try and start going. All I have to do is turn off the car and turn it back on and everything goes away except the EP mode and Service engine light. After turning on and off the car 5-10 more times and random time is passed the EP mode and Service engine light go away and the car is back to normal.
Any suggestions or help is great!

I do have the moon/sun roof.
Inspected bcm and looks clean as a whistle.
I uninstalled most of the iPod adapter. Not sure how to uninstall the rest as all the wires are integrated.
Battery is 1.5 years old. Was some minor corrosion on it. Cleaned it up. Do I just put a voltmeter to it and make sure it's stable?

Yes put the volt meter on it without starting the car, put the voltmeter where you can see it while starting the car and watch the voltage drop and the output after the car starts.
You should see something like 11.7 or better before starting, a drop to as low as 8 or 9v while cranking and 13.7 to 14.4 after running.

I would unplug it from the BACK of the radio... Just like the iPod....they are connected to the cars data bus...when an item fails...well documented with the iPod adaptors, it scrambles signals...messing up unrelated items...

I'm dusting off this thread, I am having very similar issues, the TPM light will pop on, and the car goes to EP transmission limp mode. I can turn off car, reset TPM and sometimes it works... Last night the Tach just stopped working, then popped back on once I was going. I read several things suggesting the Body ECU/CPU is the issue, but anyone else have similar issues?

The speedo, key ignition and tach were all giving off below spec voltages. They were replaced and have not since had any issues. Just issues with the Passenger Seatbelt sensor. But thats covered under a recall now. YAY! =D
Car is in shop now getting a Coolant Flush, Tranny Flush, Coolant Thermostat, and Tranny ThermoCooler replaced. =(
