replaced the window regulator

I figured out why the seller included the new window regulator when the passenger side window stopped working last night.

I also found the 2 large white cable clamps broken when I removed the door panel.

I know ECS sells a complete hardware kit, but, I only need the clamps.

Are they essential to the operation of the window?

If so, I'll be stopping at the dealership. They will probably charge $25.00/each, but, I need to get the car back on the road.

If they are the window clips that hold the top two cables they are kind of important. I forgot to clip mine in and it ruined my window tinting on that window. I looked for the clamps on realoem.com and can't seem to locate them. They are displayed on the Window Regulator but no part number is given. Good luck.

I stopped at the dealer and they had a fastener that popped into the hole wher the clips were. It had a loop on the top for a zip tie...worked like a charm.

Now I need to figure out how to stop the whistle. Must be the adjustment at the bottom of the door.

Whistling when driving is usually tied to the black pillar in front of the door..not window seals.

Hmmm. I figured it was the window because it didn't whistle before I messed with it.

Could still be...have you done the "calibration" for the window to lower partially when you open the door? Making sure it seals all the way when you shut it? Easy way to check is to see if closing button all the way solves it.

Lastly while I was thinking about it---there is slight adjustment if the window when you touch the regulator.. I brought up the pillar as another idea

Actually, no, I didn't do the calibration because it seemed to be right on the money when I buttoned it up.

Looks like it matches the driver's side window as well.

It doesn't take much miss alignment to get a whistle. There is some adjustment on the bottom of the regulator. But I've found most of the adjustment to be at the two large white "clamps" (for lack of a better work) holding the window to be much more useful.

good luck, that whistling can get annoying.

The ones I broke?

If so, mine were in plain sight after I removed the panel.

Most of the time they come on the new regulator: The two white clips that hols the cables parallel

But here they come in a kit. 51337031087 ~ $14 for the kit ( one kit per front door) also has the cable clip.
