MCS Engine noise when revs fall

After returning from a long (~200 mile round trip) drive yesterday, I noticed that when my engine's revs are winding down, there's now a mid-level pitched wheezing sound eminating from the engine compartment. Actually, it sounds like a wheeze mixed with the sound you get when blowing over the top of a glass soda bottle and a mechanical whine. It was easily reproducible. Tap or hold the throttle to rev the engine a bit, let it begin to wind down, and as the revs drop it will emit this noise...rolling in gear or just sitting in neutral. I played with it for about a minute and it consisently happened every time...I think I even tried it with the clutch disengaged too. I suspect it's somehow supercharger related b/c the noise will always stop before it reaches idle and there's no noise at idle. The odd thing is that I can't/don't hear the noise as the engine is building up revs. Sound familiar to anyone???

I went out again last night and couldn't really play with it again since I thought it best not to be revving my engine at 1AM. Although, I gave it a small blip and I think I still heard it, so it doesn't seem like it's another one-off noise/problem.

Thanks. I'm guessing this is it. I just got that same suggestion over on M2 and after reading some threads, it definitely sounds like the PCV hose problem the culprit. I'm going to check it out during my lunch break tomorrow and then I guess it's time to make another service appointment. This car is quickly becoming a major disappointment...I just had it at the dealer two weeks ago for problems and even all of those weren't fully resolved.
