Stalling/engine dying on MCSa

A month ago my 2005 S auto had the engine stumble at a red light and the ecs and eml lights came on. The car recovered and the warning lights went off. It lasted for a couple miles then stumbled really bad while driving and the previous lights came on plus the engine temp, battery, and DSC and the engine cut out. I pulled to the side of the freeway and after a while started it back up to get it off the freeway and to a parking lot where it died again, and wouldn't start anymore and wouldn't start a few days later at the dealer. They replaced the crank pulley, oil pan gasket, power steering hoses, and timing case gasket. When I got it back it was consuming some coolant, but held consistent the last week and a half. Besides that it was running ok until yesterday. I went for a short drive and when I got back it was idling waiting for the garage door to open and the engine cut out. Engine and oil had gotten to operating temperature. Think the battery and temp light came on. It restarted right up to get it in the garage. Coolant looks ok in the tank. With the car off there is half a hole showing on the belt tensioner. The belt had been replaced about 6 months before this happened. I've got a 17% pulley. Any thoughts?

Any updates on your issue? I have heard that they do weird things when the battery is going out. . May be worth checking. .

Your dealer replaced 4 things that have zero to do with a stalling car. It's not the tensioner either. There is big thread on this issue, unfortunately I don't think anyone has pinpointed the cause. My car did it a couple times where it started then died or started and ran rough. Been flawless for last 6 months. Could be an electrical issue, ECU fault, dirt in the fuel system???

It's been fine so far since that last time. Do notice the engine temps go down quite a bit with the heater on and it seems to run better than with the heater off. I think I'm going to bleed the cooling system. Could have air from when the crank pulley went bad.

Unless it is related to that long transmission thread. It is happier idling in neutral.
