Register a new battery - how?
#26
Hi
Im in Mahwah.. My mini 2012 countryman is at dealers on rt 17
had to tow cos flat battery. mini wants about 225 for programming.
If you register this battery is that all thats needed?. Mini said its a 2hr process...
Im wondering what would happen if nothing is done n battery just installed.
Are you free today or tomorrow...I know its a holiday, so I completely understand if you busy.
Regards
Peter

Does my R56 have an IBS?
Based on the photo of my positive terminal, can you confirm I do NOT have a Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS)?
Technically, I think you can buy the software, but it's vey expensive for a customer unless you do a lot of Minis yourself. The closest software we would have to possibly do it would be the Auto Enginuity, but I, myself, have not used it so I'm not 100% sure. Your best bet would be to go to a shop that has the software or something similar to it. I'd call a shop near you and see what they may have to offer, and a price. It will be the cheaper option.

I used bimmerlink to code an R60s and I also use it to troubleshoot so worth the money.
