Hey guys my 06 r53 blows cold air "when it's not hot" when it is after about 20 min it gets comfortable which I would say is normal for the heat we have been dealing with in the south but something I've noticed is after a few minutes of my ac going full blast the fan speed seems to drop to half power for about 45 seconds then goes back to full speed for a few minutes then back to half speed for a minute. Is this normal ?

 

Yeah, that's normal. The Mini has two fan speeds, one being gale force and the other being full on hurricane level.

Around town I don't even bother with the AC because the fan is so annoying; the Mini is more of an open window type of car anyway.

 

I assume you're talking about the fan in the dash that pushes air into the cabin? My '12 MCS does this also, wondered what was going on..

 

Just turn off "auto" climate control and run it in manual mode if it bugs you...

 

I don't have 'auto'..
