Oil pressure specs

I got brave and decided to change the oil and filter on my '05 MCS JCW with about 50K miles to get ready for the cold weather that will get here soon enough. Everything went pretty much as the tutorials said it would. Refilled it with Mobil 1 full synthetic 0w-30, Mann filter, rubber end toward the block, new plug and gasket. My oil pressure gauge seems to be reading higher than I seem to recall it had before the change, near 60 psi at the start , then settling into the 20's at idle when warmed up. It also seems to show higher pressure when driving.
So I have several questions: Where should the oil pressure register typically? If the pressure exceeds spec, where to start trouble shooting? Sensor, blockage, etc. Or am I imagining things?

This is what I call "Clean Car Syndrome" (A clean car seems faster than a dirty one). You're right...You're imagining things. Everything sounds normal to me. Depending on temperature at start-up, oil pressure may be higher when it's colder so you tend to see higher initial pressure than 60 psi.
