Crankshaft bolt size and pitch
Anyone know the size tap i would need to clean the treads in the crankshaft ? Or size and thread pitch of the actual crankshaft bolt?

According to MINI this is a M12 bolt with a 1.75 pitch part number 11237829918. This is a one time use bolt if I recall

Yes, M12. We have information on that in this article HERE. (12 X 1.75 X 75 mm) bolt 11237829918 and comes with blue thread sealer.
