Throttle body replacement question

Hi. Im about to replace my throttle body soon as it is acting up and throwing codes.got a used one.question is: IS it plug and play or will i need to have it calibrated or something..or is disconnecting battery enough?

We go over how to remove the throttle body in out article HERE. As for the new one being installed, I'm not sure the process, but in this thread here on NAM for a larger throttle body install, at the end it states to turn the key to the farthest position before start and let it sit for 10 seconds. Maybe someone else can confirm the process for you. Good luck!

Its plug and play, on first start it just has to calibrate the throttle position. So a few seconds.

On the old one its mostly the plug connection and the wire clip that throw a CEL throttle Position A error.

Plug and play, no Volkswagen 1.8t throttle body alignment required.
