Convertable Top adjustments

I have a 2005 R52, When the top closes the 2 alignment pins hit the strike plate towards the back of the strike plate almost missing it completely. This caused one of the pins to break and makes it hard for the top to open because the pins are not aligned with the holes. Does anyone know where the adjustments for this is located? Thanks,

By any chance to you have access to the Bentley manual for your year and model? It is explained in detail there. Adjustments can be made via the main bearing, tension bar and Front bow base plate.

R52 convertable top guide pins adjustments

Ok thank you, I checked the Bentley Service Manual but I don't know which adjustment is the one for the guide pins, is it the Main bearing adjustment or the tension bar bearing adjustment?

Can't really tell from here if it's one or the other that need adjusting, or both. However, this document might help. Please let us know!

Did you ever figure this out?
Exact same problem on a my R52 I just picked up last weekend. The right pin is barely catching the landing plate and is likely to miss at some point.
