Issues testing alternator
So,
My R50 stopped charging last week and looked into potential failures.. I changed out the alternator and the crankshaft pulley with a WMW solid pulley. Reinstalled everything and bam charging was back. The Alternator was less than 2 years old and had maybe 500miles on it. I had planned to get it tested and went to 8/9 different locations and none could test it. Either ranging from not the proper connector (N-28) to not having the proper mounts (thanks side mount bolts) to not having a working machine (2 advance auto locations) and the NAPA I went to not having a tester. I wanted to confirm that the alternator was dead before I sent it back for the core charge and that it was potentially a belt slip issue due to the pulley (saw noticeable failure on the rubber though). Anyone else run into an issue not being able to test the Mini alternator?
