R50 Headlight Harness replacement?

Hi everyone,
I have a 2004 Cooper with factory xenon.

My low beam (xenon) headlight on the passenger side has been flickering from time to time when driving or just staying completely off. I have seen the other posts where this can be a sign of the headlights internal igniter failing, so I purchased a replacement housing - only to find that issue still happens.

If I lift the hood and move the headlight wiring harness (the part that is partially strapped to the hood hinge on the passenger side) the light will come back on if I move it a certain way. Given this harness has to bend every time the hood is lifted, I can figure that the wiring harness will eventually fail.

I purchased a new harness (61116933706) which has 4 connectors on it on one end, with a few other connectors for the headlight washer pump, side marker and both heated nozzles. I'm currently in the process of figuring out what parts need to be removed to access those main harness connectors, as they do not look like they pass through the firewall into the cabin of the car.

I have done a general search on both google and on here, but I haven't found any post relating to doing this. Have any of you swapped this harness out? What parts did you have to remove?

-Brandon
