Window switch now working backwards

I changed the driver side regulator and now the switch works in reverse.

What did I put back together incorrectly?

Motor harness was plugged in backwards?? The plugs are usually keyed so this might not even be possible.

I'm not familiar with that part of the car but can you disconnect the switch and turn it 180?

Many of the aftermarket regulators and window motors are wired backwards....
Fix is a good regulator, or swap the wires in the plug on it (if possible). eBay parts can be cheap....but they come with issues.

Is there a possibility of the regulators being left or right?

This issue has appeared MANY times since I have been here....
Usually the culprit is an off brand regulator from e-bay or Amazon.....
It happens in spurts.....a quick search will yield many similar postings....same issue.
Some basic rewireing if one is handy or a different unit fixes it.

This post got me thinking.....when i pulled the motor off of the old regulator, the top with the brushes came off.

I must have put it back.on incorrectly.

I just turned it around and BINGO. Switch is working normally now.....
