See the diagram attached to this post: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ml#post4232081

The wiring is the same whether single tach or dual gauge. "Auxiliary instrument cluster" in the diagram is the steering column gauge (single or dual). "Instrument cluster control module" is not physically a separate module, but electronics located on the circuit board of the center dash unit (speedometer, chrono pack, or nav). Everything is digital electronics. The only wires that actively do something are the CAN bus. 58G is night illumination. Everything that happens on the gauges comes from commands/messages sent to it on the CAN bus.

Does that mean the Chrono pack and Nav are interchangeable? I really would prefer to see coolant temp and oil pressure over a crappy nav and fuel consumption.

They are sorta kinda interchangeable. Programming is required. It should work if you use a new Chrono unit. There could be issues with a used unit. I haven't heard of anyone actually trying it.
