Cut my finger... AGAIN...

So I have an R53. The Chrome door trim where the window meets the door seems to have lost the cap that goes in the end. It is REALLY sharp. I have cut myself several times . I have searched MINI Mania, ECS, Pelican parts, OutMotoring. Nothing.

I found one post on here that mentioned the same issue. Can anyone confirm that the part suggested is the right one? Or if someone has a link to the part I am looking for.

Thank you!

The part you linked (#9) is just a clip to secure the end of the rubber weatherstrip (#3).

Is it the end of the chrome strip that is your issue? I suggest that you compare and take pictures of the left and right doors to show us the exact difference. It's doubtful that an end cap is available separately -- you'll probably have to purchase an entire replacement strip.

Is this what you're talking about? You'll have to get the entire strip.

In the meantime, duct tape is the solution to everything.

Looks like a great place for a carefully applied bit of black RTV....

The edges are sharp. Didn't realize I too had cut myself until I saw the blood on my hand and door.

As for the end caps, you will have to replace the entire trim piece.

We bought some used ones from a vendor who posted in the classifieds. Might want to give that a shot if you don't go new.

FWIW, it's #4 in the realoem diagram, not #9

You nailed it. That's the one that's missing.
