Another cooling fan question
2007 R56 Cooper.
At what temp does the radiator cooling fan come on?
My fan was not working. After a lot of troubleshooting, finally tracked down a failed relay. Replaced all the relays.
Now -- Scanguage shows water temp runs between 215 and 222 deg F, yet the cooling fan does not come on. Some folks have told me the fan does not kick in until 226 - 230 deg F.
I'm in Eastern VA along the Chesapeake Bay; daytime high temps now are in the low 50's. So -- if you figure I'm driving along at 50 MPH, and the air temp is 50 deg F, the wind chill factor makes the air temp flowing over the radiator 39.9 deg F -- which likely moves a lot of heat out of the radiator and keeps the temp around 215 - 220.

Hello, my fan is currently not working and along with that my A/C is also not working. I am trying to figure out if the problem has to do with the A/C system or the fan itself. The fan motor works I know that for sure, but when I turn my A/C on to try to get my fan to turn on... nothing happens. I was wondering what your car was doing during the time your fan was non operational and what steps did you take during the troubleshooting?
Thanks

hello solankill,
Inside the engine compartment you have a fuse box, on the right, when you open the cover inside you have a fuse map sticker, check the fuse for stage 1 fan.
