R56 Mini Justa Poor Throttle Response and Oil Burning
Hi,
I have a 2008 Mini Cooper Clubman, 1.6 DOHC non-turbo (N12?). The car has very poor throttle response from a stop, particularly when cold. When I press the gas from a stop it can sometimes take up to 2 seconds for the car to respond, which can be un-nerving when trying to make a gap in traffic in an already slow car.
The car is also burning significant amounts of oil. I'd say 2L every 1000km or so. I can also hear valve-train noise at idle.
There are no codes or CEL. Any thoughts on where to start?
