Help with code 2885 boost deviation

I have been trying to figure out why my car goes into limp mode and generates code 2885.
The car seems to run fine and then when I accelerate hard it genrates the 2885 code and goes into limp mode.
In testing with a vacuum gauge inline with the wategate I have found that the vacuum seems ok and then when accelerating and it car goes into limp mode I have 0 vacuum. I have no vacuum until I turn the engine off and crank again and vacuum returns. I wonder why all of a sudden I have 0 vacuum at the wastegate. I suspect it must be the boost control valve??? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

Things I have checked
The diverter valve seems ok. Seal and coil are good.
I have put vacuum on the wastegate and it moves.
Turbo spins freely and no play checking with the intake hose removed.
Vacuum is ok at the vacuum pump.

The vacuum lines soften with age and may be collapsing, replace them.
