Help getting car back to 100 percent since overheat due to oil loss
2010 R56 Turbo, has 80k now. Have been topping off oil at least every other fill up. I think oil went low and engine overheated. Check engine light and smoke from engine compartment.
Had car towed to Mini dealer whom quoted a 4k repair bill and suggested taking car to CarMax. Opted to go to local mechanic who got car running again.
Writing here to ask about two check engine codes which don't seem to be affecting the performance of the car, other than the A/C stopped working shortly after the repair.
Codes are, via Carly for BMW:
Motor Control: Engine / Motor - suction tube - Code: 002B64
Other: ECU 55 - sorry, unknown fault - Code: 00DE51
Other than an intermittent belt squeal and the A/C not working, car runs well with no obvious issues.
I cleaned the MAF sensor and checked to ensure the hoses, etc were secured well.
Any suggestions prior to me taking to a Mini dealer for their estimate post 3rd party repair? Goal still being to sell car, but with working A/C and no check engine light
Thanks,
Ian

What's wrong with the AC specifically? Is it only blowing warm air? Do you have a coolant leak anywhere? It should be a concern if the vehicle ran out of oil, as it could cause some serious internal damage to the engine. Are you sure the engine ran low and this is what caused your MINI to smoke?
I think those codes may be the MINI FC codes... If you have a manual you can find their accompanying P code.
