R53 supercharger serviceable?

Intermittently, I believe my supercharger is making noises on startup for a couple of seconds and then goes away.

Are these sealed units? Any remedy for the lack of lubrication?
I see Pelican Parts does sell the lubricant.

Could anything else be making a squealing noise at startup?

Inquiring minds want to know.

The car has 51k miles on it.

There are tons of thread on this subject. If you truly are inquiring mind, just do a search.

At that mile I doubt it is the SC.

Yes people change the oil in them all the time. We stock the oil if you want to take on the job.

We have a DIY tech article covering how to service it. There is a link in the body that goes to a description of what all parts you'll need/want to replace while doing the job.

As far as the noise at start up. Does it sound like your starter? Can you pinpoint where the exact noise is coming from? Maybe have a friend start it and listen under the hood to see if you can nail down where it's coming from.

It's not going to make noise because it's just low on oil....it's going to make noise because it's low on oil AND.....there is damage to the bearings.

You can try putting oil in it, but I'm guessing that the damage is already done....and you are going to get your supercharger rebuilt.
