Stock Problems/IssuesDiscussions related to warranty related issues and repairs, or other problems with the OEM parts and software for MINI Cooper (R50), Cabrio (R52), and Cooper S (R53) MINIs.
2005 mini cooper s , low speed fan is working , the ps fan is not seized and has been tested (jumped with power and ground)....after driving for approx 1 hr it will blow fuse f3 under hood.
anyone has experienced this ?
Would think the fan is over-amping thereby blowing the fuse. How many miles on car? Fan original? Bearings wear out all the time and the fan motor is basically a bearing with a magnet on it.
Just because the fan "runs" does not mean it is not over-amping.
Something is blowing the fuse that means either the lead is going to ground, shorting out, or the motor is going (over-amping). The "bench test" included checking the amps, correct???
