Hatch Hydraulics replacement

Hey all,

My hatch doesn't like to stay open. I need to replace the hydraulics deals (which I don't even know the name of). Has anyone done this? Is it complicated? Where would you suggest buying new ones.

Thanks!

Going to move you to the Stock Problems/Issues.

Pretty sure you are referring to the struts/liftarms/strongarms. Prices will vary. Most of the NAM Vendors sell as well as Amazon and Ebay.

There should be some videos on Youtube on how to remove. You need to put a small flat tip screwdriver and pry the metal pressure clip a little. The new ones will just install by pushing the new unit over the round bearing type node that is on the car.

It's not complicated and should take about 5 minutes to replace them. It's easier with two people so one can hold the hatch up while the struts are being replaced.
