Back again, if some of you remember I rebuilt my Midlands trans about two years ago, sold the car to a friend and all was good until recently. He was driving it and lost all drive, no go in any gear. I checked the cables for gear selector, made sure the drive shafts were engaged all was good.
Put it up on stands, pulled the trans, inspected the clutch which was fine, opened up the gearbox, tore down to the diff, an found the drive gear is rotating on the diff housing!!!.
So does anyone have a good used diff housing with drive gear?
Is that drive gear just pressed on? I don't see anyway it is secured to the diff housing. Very strange. So if anyone has a used one I would appreciate a response.
