Trans fluid level

I changed the transmission fluid this weekend, only 2 quarts came out. When I went to put new fluid in that tiny hole at the top of the tranny, I realized that anything more than a trickle makes the hole overflow and go onto the ground. I have no idea how much dripped out before I realized it, so I put an extra quart in, but now I have no idea what level it's at. Mine doesn't have the tube inside the pan which indicates when it's full.

If the trans doesn't have the straw in the pan then you'll never get the fluid level right. The straw needs to be there.

We use a special fluid transfer tool to fill the trans, but you also need to get the trans to a specified temp range to test the fluid level, if you don't do that as well as shift the car in and out of drive gear and neutral you're not going to get a correct read.

Is there some way to buy this straw? I can't seem to find anything. Why would it be missing? Also what did you use to refill it?

The "overflow tube" is available for purchase, last time I checked on them they were about $19, we can get you one if you need it.

Part number is: 24-11-7-566-357

We have a container with a pump on it that has a hose and a flow valve we can open and close as needed that has a special adapter on the end that threads into the transmission, really expensive for the guy doing the work at home and will only use it a couple of times in his life though.

Let us know if you would like to get one on order.

Are you sure that's the right part number? When I Google it says it's for generation 2 models.

That's the number straight from RealOEM.com, you can try your VIN, but the overflow tube is the same between the two.
