Well, I called Mini of Knoxville and had them check the last 7 of my VIN and they said I was definitely within the extended warranty period.

I described my symptoms to the SA and he said that it definitely sounded like the issue.

Because I'm honest and up front to a fault, I told him I had an aftermarket dp and that the problem existed prior to that being installed (I can actually prove it with documentation) and he said it shouldn't be a problem.

Make sure your battery is holding a full charge before chasing down all those misfire codes!!!! Could be “ old stuff” that was never cleared out. They should have had the battery disconnected when they replaced downpipe and oil cooler stuff.

They did.

I had also cleared them prior with a rudimentary code reader.

Update.

Gotta hand it to Mini of Knoxville. Dropped off the car this morning, and they just called to say they did pull codes that pointed to the HPFP and they replaced it under the extended warranty.

She went on to say that my CEL would still be lit because I need a catalytic converter. :-)
