Oil in coolant, overheating, bruning oil

Hello.

My 2011 clubman (66K miles) started burning one qt of oil per month. Last month, it overheated. After almost two weeks of testing, Licensed Service Center found oil drops in coolant fluid. They requested to open the engine block to check the top ang gaskets. They found no issues.

Service Center now states that everything else is fine and was due to normal wear and tear.

They’re charging $3,375 for the repair.

I am not convinced, and very mad!

Can anything else be damaged?

Any suggestions welcome!

Thanks!

Ouch. Did they give you an estimate before hand?

What the heck did they repair. From reading post #1 it sounds like they inspected it and buttoned it back up.

Oil in your coolant sounds like it could be an issue with the oil filter housing gasket. I just had that repaired on mine.

That being said, $3k is extreme.
