Vacuum Pump Replacemet

I have been reading many threads and watching youtube videos of DIY vacuum pump replacements. Nothing I've seen has mentioned if the pump comes pre-oiled or if it should be oiled or primed. Does anyone know to what degree of lubrication it has when it arrives if any? I've ordered one for my 2007 Mini S Turbo Hatchback and will be installing it tomorrow hopefully. I damn sure don't want to burn a new one up. Thanks, Chuck

Just install it as is, it'll see oil pressure as soon as the car is started.

Why would anyone want to buy a used vacuum pump?

Have you ever tried to buy the little black nozzle (nipple) on the vacuum pump. The piece that is held by one screw where the brake booster vacuum line attaches. If you know where I can buy that little piece of plastic please let me know.

That isn't a separate part, you can only get it with purchase of a new vacuum pump.

That said; we do have some of those fittings that came off of vacuum pumps we've scrapped.

I'm not sure how it broke but they should be made of metal. It does not take much to break one. Without the vacuum line working you feel like you have no brakes.
