My CVT MC is 3 mos. old. A few times it has sputtered and stalled when coming to a stop. However, as opposed to what has been described by others happening in hot weather, I am living in NJ where it is getting colder and the problem is getting worse. Today the car stalled when stopped after driving for an hour without a problem. Neither the heat nor AC were on at the time.

Also, anyone experiencing a blinking of the exterior temperature gauge? At 37 degrees my temp gauge blinks and beeps - then goes back to normal. Maybe it's just telling me to move to a warmer climate!

Any help is appreciated.

Love my Cooper!

That beep and blinking is just telling you that roads and bridges *may* be icy. It's just a safety feature, and 100% normal. Dont have a CVT though, so cant help you with that part.

Concerning the temp guage - on our explorer, the temp flashes ICE when the outside temp gets to about 35 degrees meaning the road conditions may be icy- Maybe the MINI is voicing the same?!?

Just what we need: a car that informs us that water freezes at a specific temperature.

What would really be valuable is a light that signals that the seats are too hot to sit on in shorts in the middle of a summer heat-wave!

I'd like to have an "Ignition is on" warning light. Then I won't have to stop the car, lift the bonnet and check.
