2013 Mini S manual. I have an emission light that came on while going 85mph, an in 6th gear. Car was running smoothly. Now thinking back to early today, I did recall a misfire while accelerating.

You need to read the OBD codes. Either with your own device and a phone app or auto parts store of mechanic. Without that info can't hazard a guess.
