Clutch not disengaging - Pedal still has resistance.
Hello NAM!
Vehicle: 2013 Cooper S w/ 85k miles
I drove home from work Wednesday evening and everything was flawless. Wednesday night I was heading out to the gym and noticed that the clutch felt odd and that it would start to grab right off the floor.
Normally there is a very defined engagement point in the clutch that was now gone, and the 3/4in of deadspace at the bottom of the pedal was gone. The vehicle was still driveable, however.
I decided to drive it today to work and on my way home I noticed it was harder and harder to get it in gear and slowly the clutch was disengaging less and less to the point where I had to pull into a gas station and bust out my AAA card. The clutch would no longer disengage all the way but the pedal resistance was still there.
My first thought is the slave cylinder had given out and began to leak just enough to stop the clutch from disengaging. Anyone else with similar issues?
