2011 base catalytic converter removal procedures?

Id like to take off my cat and soak it overnight to clean it out. Anyone know what tools I would need for this?


Looking around for a set of instructions on google and YouTube but finding S model videos.

Hello, you need to put the car in service mode to remove the exhaust manifold with the cat. There is a good youtube video on putting the front of the car into the service position. Once you do that, things come apart easily. You will need 10mm socket and extensions, 10mm wrench. You will need 11mm socket, 13mm socket, and I think the frame bolts are 17mm. You will need a variety of extension, swivels, and socket depths. I am in the process of putting mine together. I replaced the assembly because it was cracked. I bought a Magnaflow unit and it is shocking how restrictive the stock manifold is and how much better the Magnaflow version is. Cleaning it does not work. Replacing it will fix whatever issue you have. The Magnaflow cat assembly is $660 new. I can't wait to drive it and see if there is a significant increase in power.
