Body Control Module

hi all,

I got a question. I removed the body control module on my 06 non S (needed to test something). I plugged it back in, and now I'm not getting turn signal functionality, airbag light on, and AC functionality also not working. Is this expected behavior? Do i need to get it reprogrammed? If anyone could chime in that would be great. Thank you so much.

Most important question to you is, did you disconnect the battery when you did the disconnection and reconnection. You always should.

That's a good question, no I didn't. Odd thing is it never crossed my mind really - i mean now that you mention it, dang I shoulda done it,, I was having issues with the AC and wanted to rule out the BCM. I deserve it.

I don't think you have done any damage. MINI designed these for poorly trained factory mechanics. I suggest you disconnect the battery to reboot the BCM.

I just tried what you mentioned, left the battery disconnected for 5mins (flipped lights on just to make sure any stored electricity is drained) - yeah unfortunately that didnt resolved it (thanks for not beating me up too much though)

Whoo hooo well i got good news,, yes user error LOL,, it appears one of the harnesses was not in secured all the way. Though the lock down clip locked, one side was not all the way pressed in. Thanks for your help btw, very happy it wasn't anything major.
