Gas Gauge Issues

I don’t know if this relates to the recall but my gas gauge has been spazzing out over the past few days. The problem is intermittent but when I start the car, the gauge and computer sometimes shows that I am out of gas. If I go outside and open the gas cap them put it back on, the problem goes away. Anybody else have this experience? I have to call Crevier today to make an appointment.

R-A,

That the situation is corrected by the gas cap manoever seems to point to the diagnostic software issue that the V.39.x update/recall campaign is trying to address. Ask Crevier if this is a symptom of the problematic software.

BTW -- I've had V.39.x on my MCS for about 1,200 miles and it has never run better; still a slight yo-yo, but that is to be expected.

I have had the same experience, but it only happened once.
I had just gotten the tank filled during my lunch break. On my way home later that day, the gauge was pinned on empty. The next morning, it was working fine. This was several months ago, and it has not happened since.
I just passed it off as an electronic "glitch" and forgot about it.
