I think this is to initialize the EPS and ZLS modules so they all can sync together...there is also YAW sensor initialization...look for these modules and reinitialize them.

I used to use Winkfp and NCS expert to code and program. NCS was tricky though but got my lights off for sure

i only have the Autel elite, i use it for mainly airbags and crash sensors at my shop or the pesky brake job. if this wasn't for my dads ride, i would just tell them to let them go elsewhere. i thought i would save him a g and help him out, now i wish i sent it down the road...lol. i was able to initialize the eps (electric steering unit), calibrate the steering angle & the YAw (brake rate dsc speed sensor) but i have no clue what the ZLS is. now his trifecta is gone since i did the dsc but his brake light and dsc (triangle with an explanation point) is still on. still throwing the code 5DB5, which makes me wonder if something is still wrong with the dsc. because when you turn the ignition on, the brake & ABS light is on, then the ABS light goes off then the dsc light comes on and the brake light remains on constant throughout. I have took it on a test drive everything seems fine, including the brakes... but maybe i need to rebleed everything.

ZLS is the steering wheel angle sensor.

If you drive the car, can you look up the live data and monitor the wheels speed and the steering angle sensor (after initialization)?

Not for anything, double check the brake fluid too.

i'll try that, i did it just going forward and backwards in the shop, just to see the numbers move, figuring if i left something disconnected something wouldn't be moving... but i'll do it on a test drive and see what happens.

Initialization? How do you do that just curious... Also similar issue but no ABS light. I attempted to clear the code and no success.

well what i was trying to do was code the new dsc module, you have to have something more that a regular scan tool. i appreciate the help... it did turn out that i was just doing it wrong, when my autel was telling me to turn the ignition on, i thought it meant to just put the circle key in the tab and hit the start button when you can see the ignition come on... but what it meant was for me to actually start the vehicle... now i don't know why, it didn't wait for me to figure out that i had to start the car, because it went threw the coding and acted like everything was good to go... then a buddy of mine finally showed up and said try starting it... it recoded it and all the lights went off and have stayed off for a couple of weeks. anyways thanks again for the help... i'll show a pic of the custom paint i did to it...
