car got very wet inside from rain
its been raining alot here and my r56 hardtop got really wet inside. the back seat's floor got wet. and the back hatch area where the wheel jack tools got filled with water and that entire floor area. the trunk area got so full that it soaked the rear seat cushions. if I sit in the rear seats, my *** gets soaked basically. I got all the standing water out. I need to figure out how to dry the foam in the rear seats and find where the leak came from. the roof carpet is wet in the right rear corner, so I think thats were it came in from but how. maybe the sunroof or something.

Been there done that... a real mess to clean-up... do it right and there will be no lasting damage. I had a pool in mine also... used my water VAC to clean up most of it. The hardest part to dry are the seat cushions.... I took my cushions apart to remove the foam sponge from hell which holds too many gallons of water.... squeezed/vacuumed out as much as I could, folded it - and gently put it into the drier ( only did this after waiting a week for it to air dry natural). After clearing the drains I have not had any additional water enter car in three years.

got everything dry. put a fog machine in the car and checked for leaks. fog leaked out the sunroof seal, pretty much all the way around in sections. blew out all 4 sunroof drain holes with the air compressor. was going along the sunroof seals and cleaning them, there was a coating of dirt on them. then I noticed the rear sunroof has a gap on the left and right sides big enough I can easily slide a paper towel between. so I either need a new rubber seal or thats normal. can someone check theirs? I can actually see through.
