fan locked on

after replacing my clutch (personally) and putting my rig back on the road, my radiator fan now comes on about 10 seconds after starting the engine (hot or cold) and remains on!@#@ until you turn off the key.

AC on or off makes no change; I monitored the ECU reading of the coolant temp and it was normal. I also disconnected the battery ground, grounded the hot lead for a few seconds, and hooked 'er back up, but the problem remains.

any thoughts?

The only thing I can think of is that maybe the power to the fan was somehow wired incorrectly. What I mean is, maybe the power to the fan is constant where it should be controlled by the ECU.

Is that possible?

Check to make sure that the a/c pressure sensor isnt disconnected, or it's wiring damaged or grounded. Also make sure that the fan speed control harness is connected properly (there is a relay mounted to the fan shroud that controls the fan's two speeds, it has smaller wires running to it).

Other than that, I cant think of any other issue causing it offhand, since you say the temp reads properly.
