So, day 2 and the car is still operating correctly.

I purchased a Craven Speed oil pressure adapter

An Auto Meter Pro Com Ultralight oil pressure gauge

https://www.autometer.com/2-5-8-oil-...mech-4204.html

And some steel braided hose to replace the nylon that comes with the gauge.

The only thing I need now is a mounting option. Most of the mounts I've found are for without the chrono pack. The only thing I've found for the chrono pack is where someone used Velcro to mount their gauge, which I'd prefer not to do. Anyone have any leads on a chrono pack gauge mount?

I found a photo of a chrono pack gauge mount for Minimania, but it has a bad link and I can't find a chrono pack mount on their website.

I bought the 66mm gauge and apparently almost nobody sells cups for that size. I may have to return it and buy the 60mm (Correction - 52mm) version.

*UPDATE*
I did find a mount that said it would work with chrono pack version.... $47...

And this, I guess, but it uses a sheet metal screw to screw into the plastic rear cover of the tach/speedo... Not ideal.

Might well be, but the whole reason I'm installing the gauge is because I can't trust my stock gauges. I really need it installed in the next couple days unless I want to keep driving around with the tester attached or leave it garaged for the next month. I'd probably grab it if time weren't a factor.

I appreciate the suggestion- you must have some internet-fu -- I've been looking for something like that for the better part of a week now.

Do some temporary mounting(zipties, duct tape :D) while waiting. If we must, might as well make em look worthy & clean. Hehe.
MINI mods don't really need much searching. Everything is out there.

-_- Clearly true, but you don't have to rub it in =P I'll consider it. Do you know how easy it would be to route a steel braided line for a mechanical gauge with that mount? There's no details on the website.

Never intended to rub anything in, sir.
You can even DIY it like @Blaxin41 here...

I would not replace the high quality nylon line included with the Autometer with unknown quality steel braided one. The extra mass also tends to cause material fatigue from broadband vibration. There is more than what meet the eyes, and more complexity is seldom better. I have written in depth in my thread.

One person says use the nylon. Another says don't use nylon. My thought process was to use something engineered for higher temp and pressure without the problem of kink damage like copper lines. Without personal experience one way or the other, how does one decide who to follow in cases like this?

Not sure how good the nylon line Autometer has, but I've had trauma w/ a punctured 1 way back.

I know you have already done testing with a guage to find out if you are getting steady pressure, but there are two other items to consider as well for the low oil pressure that i had happen. In my case the oil housing seal and heat exchanger o-rings had started to fail causing a slight drop in pressure. That was added to a leaky oil pressure switch at the same time. Switch ended up being good, but was replaced since it was a mess.
