new to me r53 problems

First post, switching over from VW(possibly) picked up a nice 03 r53 stock as a rock, had some issues and ive cleared them all but a P1239, and ive tried everything on other forums on here, took the initiative to pull the SC off to change fluid and hopefully find the culprit in the process, the boot on the drivers side to the intercooler had some cracking, i replaced one MAP sensor and swapped them around etc, code remains off when car is running once cleared, restart and its back, can the wiring be voltage tested and is there anything else i should definitely check? If nothing else i guess ill just have to VR6 swap it.

Thinking intake and manifold sensors are different so swapping would not work?

I am pretty sure there are different part numbers, one goes just past the throttle body and the other at the supercharger horn but do not quote me.

They are definitely different sensors. I’m doing a major service on mine and just bought both since I’ll have the front end apart.

The sensors are the same part numbers on a R53 as confirmed by RealOEM: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=18_0475
The originals from the factory are NTK. You can order NTK sensors from O'reillys with free shipping. I just changed mine.

The MAP sensor are different due to the range they perform in and should not be swapped.

You need to be able to reset the adaptives to clear the code permanently.

There is a MAP sensor and a T-MAP sensor, different parts for sure.

This discussion is about the two MAP sensors, which are different part numbers, not the O2 sensors you are referencing... I don't see where O2 sensors were mentioned in a previous post.
