2005/R53/125k Miles- oil all over the engine compartment

So, my MCS has been trouble free for two weeks, until this morning
Was going uphill in hwy speed, passing a car, I could see black smoke coming from the exhaust. When pulled over, the engine compartment, behind the engine (near the exhaust manifold) is full of oil.
I was expecting a spark plug shoot out, but all 4 spark plug wires were intact. checked the engine oil level, it looked alright. ( I just did an oil change yesterday)
Wondering what in the hell can spray oil behind the engine ? ( didn't check the PS fluid reservoir, but the color of oil looked like engine oil) Is there anything behind the engine that can burst/ leak oil ?
Tried to start the car and it sounded like it's running on 3 cylinders. The only OBD code is P0302. Had to leave for work so left the car in a parking lot. Will find out more when I get to it tonight

Seeing that you just did an oil change yesterday, is it possible that you didn’t properly thread on the oil filter cap?

Check where the cap seats to the housing with a light and inspection mirror.

Oil cooler is intact. I removed the heat shield above the exhaust manifold and it looks like the oil came through the exhaust manifold via cyl #2. It isn't firing at all
I can still start the car, but only 3 cylinders firing. Cooling system is intact - no over heating
Could it be the piston rings? or the whole piston can come off ?

Oil filter is intact too. no leaks there. cap didn't come off the threads

have to wait for the weekend to do more investigation. May be take the head off to find what is going on ?
I have an inspection camera that probably shed some light if I take the plug #2, but that has a time-sert too. Thanks for the replies!

I pulled all 4 spark plugs over the weekend and here is a picture of it. From left to right plugs from Cyl#4 through Cyl#1
All 4 plug threads are soaked in oil. Plug number 3, 2 and 1 has more oil than #4. plug #2, the tip is also soaked in oil

While looked through the inspection camera, Cyl#4 and Cyl #1 looks clean, at least the piston surface . Piston #2 and #3 has oil in it ; Couldn't see very well, but it isn't nearly as clean as l#1 and 2.

Now the oil in the engine bay : looks like the oil squirted out of the valve cover, *not* the exhaust manifold as I initially thought, since there is a lot of oil on the heat shield above the exhaust manifold.

Is it possible that the valve cover can squirt a massive amount of oil at WOT ? I ran it WOT on 2nd gear for a minute or so before this happened. Oil in the cylinder is still a mystery. Not sure if it went through the park plug well or from the piston rings?
